November 20th, 2009

When you make up your mind to get a Vicks Mist humidifier in your home, you will obtain a helpful gadget that will help you breathe easier, clear congestion and reduce dryness in your lungs. They are perfect choice for environments that don’t have enough humidity, because they provide moisture when the air is dry in the winter. Nonetheless, they are very good for installing and maintenance.

Locate the humidifier on a flat surface, far away from any article of furniture or walls. Furthermore, the cord of the humidifier has to be put where there is not any danger to step on it or trip over.

Make sure you have disconnected the Vicks Humidifier and remove the water tank from the base of the humidifier.

Open the cap of the water tank and turn it counterclockwise. Fill it with clean, lukewarm tap water and substitute the cap. Don’t use hot water. Twist the cap tightly in order to keep any leaks.

Put the water tank on the base and wipe your hands carefully with a towel.

Check that the power switch is in the “Off” position. Plug the cool mist humidifier into the wall outlet.

Opt for the desired humidity setting up and then turn the switch. If you would like to increase the level of humidity, the knob should go clockwise. The humidifier is working when a green light appears.

Set the humidifier in any room in the house in which the moisture level is low. It is particularly recommended to use a humidifier in places which have dry climates.

Your humidifier has to be cleaned once in a week by wiping the parts with warm water and white vinegar. You should always unplug the Vicks Humidifier before cleaning.
