Have Several Benefits from Having Organic Food Recipes

February 23rd, 2010

It sounds a lot better to say that you cook organic food recipes than that you just cook, plain and simple. Magazines and Internet sites have started all the buzz about healthy cooking that is now emphasized by organic food recipes. The only secret about such recipes and the most important aspect of all is the fact that only organic ingredients are used during the preparation.

The meat, vegetables, fats and even spices will be produced according to natural agricultural concepts and will be purchased from special shops that deal in organic food. The truth is that organic food recipes are the same recipes you used to know but they are cooked with organic ingredients: the result will be a healthier and even tastier meal.

It would thus be pointless to spend a lot of money on organic cookery books, when they have little things to offer in additional to what you find in traditional cookery materials. However, we ought to do justice to the web sites and the cooking guides that devote special sections or chapters to tips and suggestions for healthy cooking. The organic nature of the ingredients is not everything, there are some tricks you need to know in order to make food savory and healthy from one end to the other.

Thus, you should always remember that vegetables and legumes lose vitamins and minerals through boiling, therefore try to cook them as little as possible depending on the dish you make. Only certain food recipes allow semi-cooking for instance. Then, the eggs, meat and dairy products should be processed in a certain way to stay safe and healthy, but it also depends on the type of organic food recipes you choose to cook. Do pay attention to those suggestions referring to ways to make meat more tender or tastier. Normally, the organic nature of the food items should make dishes savory.

Fresh supplies, this is another secret of organic food recipes. Local markets are usually the best place to shop for fresh quality products, because in such locations, it is likely that you will find almost everything necessary for cooking organic food recipes. From meat and greens to eggs and dairies, there is everything available. Curries Help Beat Stress

January 28th, 2010

Research into recent rise in takeaway sales by takeaway portal Just-Eat.co.uk has found that eating indian food, particularly spicier options, can relieve stress in much the same way as exercise due to the release of endorphins or ‘fell-good’ hormones. Red chillies hold the key by releasing endorphins into your body, these active chemicals containing capsaicin and serotonin and also tomatoes are one of the best ways to beat stress.

A study of 1185 people conducted by the site found that 92 per cent of Brits say they feel happier after eating a takeaway. Eighty four per cent of the participants mentioned that fact they didn’t have to cook when ordering in was a factor in improving their mood.

The top five mood-improving curries decided by Just-Eat meal experts comparing restaurant cooking methods and included ingredients are as follows:

1.  Chicken/Beef Madras – There are many variations on Madras curry in India due to the availability of ingredients in certain regions of the country. Quite a simple curry with a deep red colour and lots of chilli powder.

2. Vindaloo – This Indian dish derives from a Portuguese dish and usually contains chicken or lamb. It has become popular in many Indian restaurants across the UK and is also normally one of the hottest dishes available on their menus.

2. Thai Red Curry – The main ingredient in this curry dish is curry paste as well as coconut milk however funnily enough it does not include any curry power or dried spices.

4. Pasanda – A mild dish compared to most Indian curries, its originates from North Indian and Pakistan and is heavily seasoned with spice and meat.

5. Jalfrezi – This can be a very hot dish depending how any chillies are added. Marinated meat or vegetables are normally used with spices to create a thick source and then chillies are added.

So do yourself a favour and next time you order a curry takeaway choose one which is going to help you beat stress and improve your mood!
